The Designer and The Woman's Magazine 1924 May
The Designer and The Woman's Magazine 1924 May
1920s fiction and fashion magazine. With a gorgeous oversize format, art covers and full colour pages, The Designer and the Woman’s Magazine was a coffee table ornament. Leading with illustrated short fiction, the middle of the magazine was full of fashion illustrations for women, and girls, promoting the publishers’ series of Standard-Designer patterns. In this 1920’s extravaganza there is a gorgeous ad for Ford Closed Cars, an article on decorating your home to match your hair “decorative smartness for silver locks” by Ethel Davis Seal, and designs for a new maj-jong table cover.
New York: The Designer Publishing Co., Inc., 1924. Volume 59 Number 6. Softcover. 35.5 x 28 cm. 84 pages. This issue has minor tears and loss to the cover, with previous owner’s tape repair. In very good condition overall.
