First edition, boldly signed by the author to the half title. Sally Rooney’s third novel, in which she continues to explore the nature of friendship and romantic relationships in the twenty-first century. It includes a never before published short story.
The Irish writer Sally Rooney is regarded as one of the foremost writers of our generation. Born in Castlebar, she achieved fame with the publication of her debut novel, Conversation with Friends, which she wrote in just three months. In 2018 she published her second novel, Normal People, a longer adaptation of her short story "At the Clinic", which was first published in 2016 in the London-based literary magazine The White Review. Both novels were adapted into television series by the BBC. In 2024 her fourth book, Intermezzo, has it’s long-awaited release.
Beautiful World, Where are You essentially tells of a love quadrangle between the central four characters - Alice, a novelist, Eileen, a Literary Editor, Felix, who works in a warehouse, and Simon, who works for a refugee agency. The book instantly became a New York Times bestseller.
