Our Home Magazine was first published in 1898 and sold patterns matching the full page fashion illustrations that appear throughout. The magazine contains fashion news and poetry and fiction submitted by readers and appealed to an audience including working women. Most intriguing are the answers to readers’ letters, a large number concerning love advice, careers and hair growth (wanted or unwanted).
