Modern Woman was a mid-range consumer magazine begun in the 1920s for professional women and the wives of professionals. Modern Woman promoted and directly sold dressmaking patterns and offered free knitting and cross-stitch pattern along with fiction. From the advertisements to the advice column, everything in this issue speaks to the life of British Women in wartime. 95 pages. 20 x 14cm. Intact tears to front and back cover, stapled binding beginning to loosen, some rust marks. In very good condition for a wartime publication.
