One of the most famous of the Brontë sisters’ novels, paired with one of the least known, published together in a dark cloth binding with Pegasus gold decoration to the spine. Includes a contemporary preface referring to Agnes Grey as “inferior”, but suggest the reader should arrive with an open mind. Also includes the Biographical Notice of Ellis and Acton Bell, Emily and Anne’s pseudonyms, by Currer Bell. This was written in 1850 when the two novels were published together, by which time both Emily and Anne Brontë had died.
