The Waves by Virginia Woolf
The Waves by Virginia Woolf
Woolf’s experimental masterpiece The Waves, published in 1931.
In 1929 when Hogarth debuted the Uniform Edition of Woolf’s work, her first two books were already out of print. The lower price of these simple and handsome editions allowed for a much broader readership. Today, they allow for a Woolf fan to collect editions, many published in her lifetime, at a price in reach, while her first editions continue to be appropriately expensive. The Uniform Editions continued to be released after Woolf’s death, but in yellow jackets.
