English Furniture at a Glance is a brilliant visual guide to English Furniture styles, organised chronologically, with a glossary and a timeline. The book and vibrant dust jacket were designed, written, and illustrated by British artist Barbara Jones. Jones studied at the Royal College of Art and went on to paint murals, design exhibitions and write a number of influential books. She is credited for changing the perceptions and tastes of a generation, increasing the appreciation of traditional English art forms.
