Fine lettering and detailed maps in ink and watercolours beautifully done. Title page plus 13 full page coloured and labeled maps, each with tissue guard and facing full page text. The descriptions of the countries reflect the knowledge and beliefs of Payne's teachers and contemporary student books such as George Robert's The Elements of Modern Geography from 1834.
